Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC is seeking a Security Officer (PRN) to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will support emergency responses, patrol facilities, and assist with safety protocols across the hospital properties.

This role requires mobility, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while working with hospital departments, EMS, and administrators to protect people and property.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents for all hospital properties.
• Maintains security of property and personnel.
• Conducts rounds, performs fire watch when required, and enforces regulations.
