Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a Security Officer to help protect staff, patients and visitors while maintaining a secure campus. You will monitor for threats, respond to incidents, and uphold alarms and disaster-preparedness policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred) and at least 1 year of verifiable security experience; healthcare security is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum one year of verifiable security experience required.
• Healthcare security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive monitoring and respond promptly to potential or actual security threats.
• Investigate and manage all security incidents and hazards on hospital premises.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to policies regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness.
• Facilitate drills and simulations for emergency preparedness.
• Provide assistance and information to staff and visitors to promote safety.
