Job summary

Saint Luke's Health Systems is seeking a Security Officer - Per Diem to protect patients, staff and visitors across hospital facilities. The role requires vigilance in responding to security alerts, fires, and disasters, with duties including patrols, access control, and incident documentation.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant security or healthcare experience. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required, with IAHSS certification preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security or healthcare preferred.
• IAHSS Basic Officer Certification preferred or within 1 year of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital property to ensure safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Control persons exhibiting aggressive/violent behaviors.
• Investigate security incidents and document findings in reports.
• Maintain daily activity log and incident reports.
• Lock/unlock hospital buildings across the campus.
• Part of fire and disaster response teams.
• Enforce hospital parking policy.
• Demonstrate de-escalation and, if needed, restraints.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and follow safety policies.
• Display professional, helpful attitude with all customers.
