Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will patrol facilities, monitor CCTV and alarms, escort personnel, and respond to emergencies while documenting incidents accurately.

Qualifying candidates will hold a high school diploma, a valid Maryland driver’s license, and be prepared to undergo background checks and required training in de-escalation, CPR, and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of security or related experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Maryland driver’s license.
• Must submit to and pass a criminal background check.
• Must obtain within 6 months: De-Escalation Training and IA/HA Basic Officer Certification, CPR.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and protects people and property, monitors alarms and CCTV.
• Provides escorts for staff, visitors and patients.
• Assists in emergency response and crisis management.
• Performs preliminary investigations into thefts and incidents.
• Prepares written reports and maintains documentation and logs.
• Maintains confidentiality and proper use of equipment.
