Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, and staff across multiple facilities. You will monitor entrances, respond to alarms, perform fire watch, and provide escorts when requested.

The role requires excellent communication, adherence to safety protocols, and strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting suspicious activity, and supporting emergency responses such as BRRT and overdose de-escalation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–3 years security, law enforcement, or customer service related experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees by covering security posts, monitoring entrances, responding to alarms and requests for security assistance, performing fire watch, enforcing parking rules, and providing escorts when requested.
• Investigate and report suspicious activity; patrol interior and exterior areas of the property.
• Implement safety and security measures during Medical Assistance responses, including BRRT response and de-escalation of violent interactions.
• Provide weapons detection using walk-through metal detectors, hand wands, and package x-ray where applicable.
