VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER in Renton, WA is seeking a Security Officer to cover hospital campuses and clinics. This role requires flexible shifts and the ability to work in varied environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.

You will provide security, assist patients and staff, and respond to incidents per hospital policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid WA driver's license, and at least two years in security or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to be insured.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Security Officer or related field.
• Ability to understand and translate the Revised Code of Washington.
• Basic keyboarding (25 wpm) and Windows experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• No convictions other than misdemeanor traffic violations.
• Pass Work Steps pre-hire screening and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and safety for visitors, patients, employees and physicians.
• Oversee enforcement of policies and perform initial investigations.
• Lock/unlock doors for opening/closing per shift.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas per assigned shift.
• Monitor CCTV and operate security systems.
• Provide escorts and assist with patient care transport as needed.
• Respond to incidents and communicate with management for resolutions.
