Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Washington State Driver's license required, no criminal violations.
• Healthcare provider BLS certification required.
• IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer certification required within one year.
• MOAB certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors.
• Interact with the public, answer questions, give directions, and respond to concerns.
• Patrol the facility and related locations; high visibility.
• Use computer-based systems for surveillance, access control and documentation.
• Respond to emergency requests including fire, hazmat spills, criminal activity, emotional and psychiatric disturbances.
• Verbal de-escalation and use of minimum force as needed.
