Job summary

Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, IN is seeking qualified Security Officers for a PRN/POOL role. Officers will patrol the exterior and interior of JMH properties, control access, document findings, escort staff and visitors, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

The position requires Indiana Law Enforcement Officer Certification with active arrest powers and at least one year of law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

Must hold current Indiana Law Enforcement Officer Certification and have active Arresting Powers to enforce state laws.
Minimum of one year served as a law enforcement officer.

Responsibilities

Makes rounds of interior and exterior of JMH properties to ensure safety and security.
Documents findings and files reports on shift activity; provides escort for staff and visitors.
Secures and releases doors for controlled access during business hours and closings.
Performs routine preventive maintenance like testing medical gas alarms and monitoring gas usage.
Monitors snow accumulation and notifies Plant Operations management.
Assists with combative patients according to CMS standards and handles disturbances or safety incidents.
Identifies suspicious persons, runs license verifications on abandoned vehicles, and patrols parking lots.
Participates in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance policies and the mission and values of JMH.
