McLaren Health Care is seeking a Security Officer to respond to emergencies, conduct rounds, and assist with security operations across facilities. You will document incidents, enforce safety rules, and safeguard patients, staff, and visitors from hazards and threats.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• No criminal records/violations.
• Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.
• Preferred: post-secondary training in related programs.
• Six months of prior work experience.
• CHSO/CHASO certifications within 1 year of hire for Full-time and Part-time employees.

Responsabilités

• Makes rounds, inside and outside of assigned areas, investigating and documenting unusual or suspicious incidents and initiating corrective action.
• Provides assistance to other security personnel, hospital employees, and escorts visitors to desired locations.
• Observes and documents non-conformance of policies and procedures including badge display, fire, disaster, electrical, safety and infection control policies.
• Accurately completes all required paperwork on a timely basis.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee, patient, visitor, physician, hospital and security information.

Formation

Associate degree in criminal justice or related field

Post-secondary training in related programs

Six months of prior work experience
