Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years security/public law enforcement or military police experience.
• Alternate: 2 years college in criminal justice/security plus 3 years security experience.
• Alternate: Michigan MCOLES police academy plus 3 years security experience.
• Bachelor's degree with internship/volunteer security experience.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and be eligible to drive DMC vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter misconduct and ensure safety.
• Access control by badge checks and verification of identification.
• Provide assistance to patients, guests, and staff; respond to requests.
• Investigate complaints and prepare incident reports.
• Monitor security and fire systems and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Respond to emergencies per hospital policies and codes.
• Promote DMC values and efficient use of resources.
