Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Conflict Intervention in Cleveland, OH. In this role you will monitor and patrol healthcare facilities, provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, and respond to security-related needs with teamwork.

You will work day/evening shifts, follow site protocols, and help deter incidents. A high school diploma, ability to meet vaccination requirements, and background checks are required; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting unusual conditions or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; assist with visitor direction and access procedures while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
