Tarian seeks a Hospital Security Officer to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will work with hospital security and internal teams to provide a visible presence, respond to incidents, and enforce safety policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, calmness under pressure, and teamwork within a fast-paced healthcare setting. Eligible candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required; only applies after conditional offer.
• Must be able to stand/walk for an entire shift and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and driving credentials if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Access control: monitor entry points and screen patients, visitors, staff, and vendors per hospital policy.
• Patrol and surveillance: perform routine foot/vehicle patrols to identify safety concerns or suspicious activity.
• Incident response: respond to emergencies, medical situations, fire alarms, and hazardous conditions.
• Conflict resolution: use de-escalation techniques to manage disruptive behavior professionally.
• Vigilant monitoring: observe and report criminal activity, policy violations, or safety hazards.
• Reporting and documentation: complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Team collaboration: work with hospital staff and supervisors to maintain a secure environment.
