Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital seeks a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors. You will patrol the facility, enforce safety policies, respond to incidents, and coordinate with emergency responders on the day shift.

The role requires 21+ years of age, Missouri driver’s license, and completion of a psychological evaluation. A federal background check and continuous vigilance are expected in this critical position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and willing to become an armed officer.
• Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation by a third party.

Responsibilities

• Protect property and staff by conducting interior and exterior rounds.
• Promote visitor and employee safety and provide escorts when requested.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with incident reporting and logs.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate hazards to clinical staff.
• Monitor and operate safety systems and equipment as required.

Education

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
