Job summary

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Sellersburg, IN is hiring a Security Officer for full-time, 40 hours per week on 7:00am–7:00pm shifts. You will enforce hospital policies, patrol the campus, and respond to security incidents to keep patients, visitors and staff safe.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, plus security experience and a valid driver’s license. BLS certification is required or provided training. EOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service and/or IAHSS certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Enforces hospital regulations and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.
• Conducts active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property to identify hazards and report them.
• Investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct as directed by supervision.
• Assists in restraining patients as necessary and provides protective services.
• Reports safety concerns and unusual occurrences in assigned areas.
