Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff at a hospital location in Ventura, CA. You will perform unarmed security duties, patrol assigned areas, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to hospital procedures, and collaboration with hospital leadership to maintain a secure, welcoming environment. Flexible evenings/weekends and a focus on safety are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify hospital personnel or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and reporting of unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication regarding incidents and patrol findings.
