Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Hospital FT in Ventura, CA to serve patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while following site protocols.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, ability to work varied shifts, and compliance with vaccination and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Hospital vaccination requirements.
• Able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals in hospital setting.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized persons or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
