Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
• 3+ years in Patient Access/Scheduling preferred.
• Some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete clinical, demographic and financial information during scheduling; data entry; provide prep instructions.
• Follow guidelines for special requests and coordinate with clinical areas to accommodate customer requests.
• Answer calls per scripting; maintain positive customer service; refer unresolved issues to supervisor.
• Notify customer of physician order, pre-authorization and other financial clearance requirements.
• Perform PASU or registration tasks when requested.
