Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety across patient and non-patient areas, following infection control guidelines and using approved cleaning chemicals and equipment.

You will move and rearrange furniture as needed, operate floor care machines, attend department meetings, and contribute to a sanitary, organized hospital environment in the Evening shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree? No.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe chemical application.
• Working knowledge of cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in line with infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Cleans assigned areas and services them per procedures; maintains sanitation.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to keep hospital areas neat and sanitary.
• Operates floor machines and buffers.
• Attends a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary conditions in patient and non-patient areas.
