Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care techniques.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste in infection control standards.
• Familiarity with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and proper usage.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing flooring surfaces.
• Collects, removes, and disposes of waste including biohazardous materials following policy and guidelines.
• Handles and processes soiled linens, replacing with clean bags and proper containment.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, halls, offices, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Responds to spills and contamination cleanups with proper disinfection and safety precautions.
• Moves furniture, floor mats, and other equipment as needed for cleaning or relocation.
• Monitors cleaning supplies usage and ensures safe storage and usage.
• Communicates maintenance and repair needs to supervisor or facilities team.
