Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital is seeking a Safety and Security Officer (Non-Armed) to provide comprehensive security and safety services across hospital sites. You will operate weapons scanning equipment, enforce policies, and guide visitors while ensuring a secure environment for patients and staff.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, BLS certification, and strong written/verbal communication. You may work at multiple locations within the OhioHealth system as needed.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: BLS, MSDS, safety knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains weapons scanning equipment and enforces policies.
• Monitors CCTV for security incidents and escalations.
• Intervenes in confrontations and documents incidents.
• Participates in emergency procedures, alarms, evacuations, and disaster plans.
• Will be assigned a home location with potential float to other sites.
