Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Safety Leader to develop and implement policies and procedures for General Safety, Fire Prevention and Hazardous Materials. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design effective training programs and ensure accurate accident reporting and corrective actions.

You will manage hazard surveillance, perform risk assessments, generate Environment of Care data, and report trends to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–3 years of hospital or general industry safety/risk experience required.
• CHSP or OSHA 30-hour training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads policy and procedure development for General Safety, Fire Prevention and Hazardous Materials.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and execute training programs.
• Ensures accidents/incidents are reported and recommends corrective actions.
• Serves as liaison between Safety Department and Third-Party Administrator of Workers’ Compensation.
• Performs hazard surveillance tours and proactive risk assessments.
• Generates queries and reports for Environment of Care trends and reporting.
