Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to safeguard facilities across the Salt Lake region. You will lead preventive maintenance, repairs, and contractor coordination to ensure safe, compliant clinic environments.

Responsibilities include managing in-house work orders, sourcing painters, and performing electrical, plumbing, and flooring tasks as needed. Travel within the MVH area is required; a strong background in construction or facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Facilities Management or a similar field is preferred.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance are required.
• Working knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, casework and general building constructions.
• Experience with building construction power tools and general maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify Mars Five Principles within self and team.
• Identify, manage, perform, measure, schedule and track facility repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Paint, cabinetry and laminate repairs; drywall and ceiling repairs; basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Manage in-house maintenance work orders, coordinate timelines and communicate with hospitals and managers.
• Source, hire and manage painting contractors; perform medical equipment preventive maintenance when needed.
• Inspect and document damages, repairs and variances; maintain inventories and travel as required.
