Job summary

Labcorp in Fishersville, VA is seeking an onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team. The role runs Monday–Friday, 10:30am–7:00pm, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens for analysis, data entry, labeling, packing and shipping specimens, and ensuring accuracy in requisitions. Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year in a lab, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in laboratory, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client

Work Schedule

Pay Range

Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data
