Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Previous law enforcement, military, dispatching, or security experience preferred.
• CPI, MOAB, Defensive Resources, and Restraint Certification must be obtained within 6 months.
• Valid Driver's license is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Competent with computer skills, multitasking, and dispatching.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as security officer.
• Maintains a public presence of security and assists the public on security topics.
• Dispatch Officer Duties.
• Charge Officer Duties.
• Responds to all incidents of aggressive patients and visitors.
• Follows hospital rules and uses the restraint process per SOP.
• Attends required safety training and understands general safety responsibilities.
• Follows Exposure Control Plans and Uses protective equipment correctly.
• Interacts respectfully with patients, families, visitors and staff to maintain a professional environment.
• Promotes teamwork and conducts staff meetings.
