Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 1 year of experience as a public safety officer or related role.
• IAHSS Basic and Advanced Healthcare Security Officer Certifications within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic public safety and security duties, patrol facilities and grounds, respond to routine and emergency calls.
• Provide escorts to patients, visitors, staff and others per procedures.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and safety hazards, take corrective action, and report deficiencies.
• Assist with patient crisis interventions to ensure safety and use the least invasive measures.
• Ensure staff and visitors wear hospital ID badges and grant access to authorized personnel.
