Humboldt Park Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Public Safety Officer for a full-time days and evenings schedule to protect patients, staff and visitors and to deter security incidents on campus.

Requirements include 1–3 years of security experience, hospital experience preferred, and licensure items such as a 20 Hour certification and CPR/AED being preferred; a driver's license is required with PERC card within 3 months.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of previous security experience preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification preferred but not required.
• Driver's License required.
• 20 Hour certification required.
• PERC Card within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Patrols the campus to ensure safety of patients, staff and visitors.
• Reports incidents and accidents per hospital policy.
• Investigates theft, hostile acts, and injuries; prepares incident reports.
• Monitors infant abduction system (HUGS) and responds to alarms.
• Provides vehicle escort services when requested.
• De-escalates challenging individuals to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintains good working relationships with staff and provides directions to visitors.
