Job summary

Compass Palliative Care in California seeks experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with interest in palliative care to join our hospital-based program in Corona and surrounding areas. Flexible hours and travel between sites are available to accommodate patient load and practice needs.

You will assess patients, provide palliative care, document diagnoses, educate patients and families, and participate in clinical education to advance patient outcomes and staff development.

Compass Palliative, a leading California-based palliative careproviderseeks outstanding Nurse Practitioners/ PAs who have experience and/or interest in palliative care. Our practice provides palliative services in the hospital setting in Corona and surrounding areas.

We are pleased to offer FLEXIBLE HOURS.

The practitioner will be assigned a specific patientloadfor which they will be responsible. Our palliative program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in being able to provide training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assess patients
• Provide palliative care to best treat the patient
• Define and document patient diagnoses
• Assure all patients are completely satisfied
• Patient and family education and management
• Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
• Activelyparticipatesin departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals

Schedule:

• Saturday to Sunday
• Flexible window time of inpatient rounding between 8 AM and 6 PM
• Open to other weekdays toobut needs to be a regular/consistent schedule
