Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an unarmed Protective Services Officer for Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will provide safety escorts, patrol the grounds, monitor CCTV, and enforce hospital policies to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protects patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds and mitigating environment of care safety hazards.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
• Enforces policies such as parking, visitation, drug enforcement and tobacco-free/smoking policies.
• Monitors activity via CCTV and alerts protective services for escalating situations.
• Intervenes in confrontations and documents duties and incidents daily.
• Willingness to perform other duties as required by supervisor.
