Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in health care administration, business, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in leadership within a comprehensive acute care setting or hospital organization.
  • Experience in successfully integrating services within a large, complex health system.
  • Demonstrated ability and leadership in change management.
  • Experience in a highly competitive market.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, set patient care standards, and manage market positioning for long-term facility growth.
  • Provider Infrastructure: Architect and execute a comprehensive provider recruitment strategy aligned with the facility’s service line priorities.
  • Business Development: Lead end-to-end development of new clinical programs, including feasibility modeling and regulatory compliance.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Team & Talent Development: Select, develop, and empower senior leadership.
  • Community & External Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with external entities to promote the organization's mission.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Champion the organizational mission, vision, and values.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our President, Saint Anthony South Hospital, you will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for our new facility in south Denver, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture rooted in our Christian mission. This executive leadership role is paramount to our success, encompassing overall management of patient care, financial performance, quality assurance, IT infrastructure, human resources, and network development. You will be instrumental in shaping the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plans, while collaboratively guiding our executive team to achieve superior results and solidify our position as the system of choice in our industry.

Every day you will foster robust relationships with key stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with the Market President to define organizational policy and direction as you spearhead strategic initiatives. You will lead comprehensive assessments of business unit leaders and staff, optimizing assignments to maximize organizational performance. A significant part of your role will involve championing a 'team before self' mentality, fostering transparency, and inviting others into our mission and community health endeavors. You will act as a pivotal change agent, demonstrating boldness, urgency, and unwavering accountability to our community, associates, physicians, and sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provider Infrastructure: Architect and execute a comprehensive provider recruitment strategy aligned with the facility’s specific service line priorities, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier medical talent to establish the hospital as a premier destination for specialized care upon opening.
  • Business Development: Lead the end-to-end development of new clinical programs, from feasibility modeling and regulatory compliance to operational workflows, ensuring that all service lines are fully integrated, scalable, and optimized for clinical excellence and financial sustainability from day one.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking to achieve facility goals and ensure financial stability.
  • Team & Talent Development: Select, develop, and empower senior leadership, cultivate talent, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Community & External Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with external entities, building relationships with business, civic, and healthcare leaders to promote the organization's mission.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Champion the organizational mission, vision, and values, fostering a positive culture and sense of community within the facility.
Job Requirements

CommonSpirit Health officially broke ground in May 2026 on the new CommonSpirit St. Anthony South Hospital. Located on a 42-acre site in the Meridian community in Douglas County (near Peoria Street and E-470), the comprehensive medical campus will feature a full-service hospital, a surgical center, a sports medicine clinic, and two medical office buildings.
