Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Idaho Falls. You will assist in preparing foods for cafe customers, patients, and special functions, assemble patient trays, and stock the salad/bar areas under supervision of Head/Sous Chef.

You will help maintain kitchen cleanliness, participate in ongoing trainings, and work as a collaborative team member with IFCH and MVH staff to ensure high-quality service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Food Handlers Permit required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow instructions.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff and guests.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with safety/sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of food for cafe, patients, and events.
• Prepare items and assemble patient trays with quality and appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and cafe facilities.
• Participate in continued education and trainings; maintain permits.
