Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, seeks a skilled plumber to maintain, repair, modify, renovate, and construct plumbing distribution and steam systems across the campus.

The role involves inspecting, testing, and performing preventative maintenance, reading blueprints, and adhering to Life Safety Codes, OSHA and JCAHO standards. Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm, with some on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with skilled crafts coursework or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years' experience as Plumbing Apprentice or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversees plumbing activity in hospital facility and properties.
• Uses blueprints, sketches and drawings to renovate, construct, and install facilities and equipment.
• Inspects major piping systems and sub-systems; performs preventative maintenance and repairs per codes.
