Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a facilities technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital HVAC, boiler, and associated systems in Annapolis, MD. The role requires handling water chemistry, logs, and safety testing across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities include monitoring climate control, coordinating with plumbers and other trades, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Valid MD plant license and EPA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of specialized training in carpentry, painting, light construction.
• Must be familiar with basic mechanical tools.
• Three to five years’ experience in Plant Operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on boiler and HVAC equipment and plant systems.
• Monitors boiler room, conducts safety tests, and records readings every shift.
• Checks water levels, samples and tests chemical content.
• Maintains logs and reports as per departmental policy.
• Reports malfunctions and uses CMMS for documentation.
• Manages building climate via energy management system.
• Performs plumbing and basic electrical tasks and coordinates with other trades.
• Maintains HVAC units, air handlers, heaters, ducts, and controls.
• Disposes of hazardous waste per laws and regulations.

Skills

Familiar with basic mechanical tools

Education

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Three to five years’ experience in Plant Operations

Tools

First Grade Stationary Plant Engineer License (Maryland)

Universal CFC Certification (EPA) preferred
