Job summary

KAISER is seeking a Plant Engineer II in Riverside, California, to oversee and repair hospital plant equipment including HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role requires extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, testing, and on-the-job training for junior staff, with occasional travel to remote sites to expedite maintenance work and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Two of the following: LA Unlimited Steam Engineers License or 500 HP LA City Steam License and EPA Rule 608 Universal Certification.
• Passing score on the electrical maintenance knowledge test and associated performance test.
• Passing score on the air-conditioning maintenance knowledge test and associated performance test.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, modify and repair hospital air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform electrical repairs and safety tests on equipment.
• Inspect and repair plant and medical-center equipment and systems.
• Drive to outlying clinics or remote areas to support maintenance requirements.
• Promote customer service and safety as per Kaiser Permanente standards.
