BethIsrael Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join its Laboratory team. The role involves registering patients, drawing blood, labeling specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely transport to the lab.

You will verify orders, maintain patient comfort, and document results in the EMR, with emphasis on safety and quality. HS diploma required; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy experience or certification.
• At least one year of clerical or secretarial experience.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Registers patients.
• Enters physician orders.
• Prepares the patient, verifies identification and physician orders, draws blood with attention to patient comfort, and labels specimen accurately with essential information.
• Receives, and packs specimens, expediting the delivery process for lab processing.
• Documents receipt of specimens in electronic medical record system.
• Runs daily reports and addresses issues as pertinent.
