Job summary

Labcorp in Wichita, KS is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team for a Monday–Friday 1:30PM–10:00PM shift with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and patient service. Travel to additional sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential to succeed in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

• Perform data entry of patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Wichita, KS.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30PM - 10:00PM with rotating weekends

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
