Job summary

Labcorp in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages. You will collect specimens for tests, enter patient data, and support billing processes while delivering excellent customer service.

Four ten-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holiday rotation, require reliable transportation and ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 months or more phlebotomy experience.
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
  • Ability to travel to additional sites if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Manhattan, KS.

Work Schedule

Four ten-hour shifts. Weekdays 5:00am - 3:30pm with rotating weekends 5:00am - 3:30pm and holiday rotation

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
