Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, fill and distribute medications and sterile products under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Position supports hospital and patient care areas within MarinHealth Medical Center.

Qualifications include a pharmacy technician program or related education, and a valid PHRMTECH-R license at hire. IAMTAC within 30 days is required. Competitive hourly compensation is offered with a variable shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of Pharmacy Technician program or two years of college with science courses.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) required at hire.
• Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Process orders for narcotic and non-narcotic medications for various settings.
• Distribute and refill medications in Pyxis Medstations.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and sterile/non-sterile preparations.
• Maintain drug quality and documentation per policy; ensure proper storage and inventory.
• Assist pharmacists and maintain computerized patient profiles under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work area and equipment.
