Job summary

Atrium Health Union Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. The role involves assisting pharmacists, preparing sterile and nonsterile compounds, inventory management, and timely medication distribution in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This position is primarily first shift, Monday through Friday (7:30 AM–3:30 PM) with alternating weekends. Prior hospital/sterile compounding experience and CPhT certification preferred; 40-hour week and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment.
• Must receive certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
