Cardinal Health, Innovative Delivery Solutions, is hiring a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support hospital and outpatient pharmacies in Florida. You will process physician orders, assist pharmacists, restock medications and ensure accurate inventory.

Requirements include 1–2 years of experience, Florida Pharmacy Technician License, National Certification (PTCB), and inpatient/hospital exposure. Strong communication and customer service skills, plus familiarity with pharmacy software, are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.
• Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

Cardinal Health proudly provides pharmacy services to PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tavares, enhancing their dedication to exceptional post-acute care. We are currently hiring for a PRN pharmacy technician to work as needed - Pharmacy Hours Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30pm.

Our Pharmacy Technicians demonstrate working knowledge of the policies and procedures regarding procurement, storage, preparation and delivery of pharmaceuticals in hospitals and health system settings. The successful candidate will process physician orders for review by a pharmacist and pick and prepare medications or supplies under pharmacist review. They will also restock supplies and medications, deliver supplies and medications, procure supplies and medications following standard purchasing guidelines and provide feedback on the stock level and on inventory control and delivery processes.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License required.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB) required.
• Buyer experience preferred.
• Inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tablets.
• May require vendor credentialing.

Anticipated hourly range:

$18.10 per hour - $25.80 per hour based on experience
