Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in all phases of the medication delivery system. The position is regular part-time (80 hours bi-weekly), with shifts between 7am and 7pm, including rotating weekends.

You will engage in ordering, stocking, dispensing, and documentation, and you must have a high school diploma and eligibility for Vermont State Pharmacy Technician registration; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Eligible for Vermont State Pharmacy Technician registration; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports pharmacists in all phases of the medication delivery system: ordering, stocking, purchasing, dispensing, delivery, and charge functions.
• Prepares prescriptions for pharmacist review according to policies and guidelines.
• Communicates with patients, team members and management in a timely and accurate manner.
• Completes clinical documentation in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains inventory, orders supplies, and ensures proper storage and handling of medications.

Education
