Job summary

The Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacists in preparation, distribution, and record-keeping of medications for patients in the MedNow pharmacy. The role requires Idaho-licensed pharmacy tech with certification (CPhT/ExCPT) preferred and under 2 years’ experience; hospital pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with Idaho State Board of Pharmacy certification; CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent preferred.
• Under 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist in providing effective drug dispensing services to patients served by the MedNow pharmacy.
• Assists the Pharmacist in training Pharmacy Technician Trainees as assigned by the Director.
• Excellent mathematical skills required for preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
