Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center in Vermont is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the medication delivery system. The position is regular part-time (64 hours bi-weekly) with shifts typically 8 hours between 7am-7pm, including rotating weekends.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, be eligible for Vermont registration (national certification preferred), and hospital experience with medications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible for Vermont State Pharmacy Technician registration; national certification preferred.
• Previous hospital or medical experience, especially with medications, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ordering & inventory maintenance
• Prepares prescriptions for pharmacist review according to policies and equipment guidance
• Completes clinical documentation accurately and timely as required by policy
• Communicates with patients, team members and management in a timely manner
• Protects confidentiality of patient information
• Performs medication reconciliation
• Stock Omnicell cabinets
• Maintains clean and orderly environment of care
