ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware, is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician for day/evening rotations. The role supports pharmacists in patient care, refills carts, and prepares IV medications with strict aseptic procedures. MD licensure for technicians is required, with PTCB certification expected within 1 year if not in a PharmD program.

Weekend and holiday coverage is required; compensation aligns with ChristianaCare's hourly pay range and benefits package.

Competenze

• High School Diploma required.
• PTCB certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• Maryland Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred (Windows-based programs).
• Basic typing skills.

Mansioni

• Assist the pharmacist in providing timely, efficient pharmaceutical care.
• Refill patient medication bins through robot cart fill and manual picks.
• Update labeling of bins on admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Deliver and exchange 24-hour cart fill to nursing units at scheduled times.
• Manage automated dispensing cabinet inventory and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques per USP standards.
• Use PPE and closed system transfer devices for chemotherapy and hazardous meds.
