Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• PTCB certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• Applicants with pharmacy technician experience encouraged to apply and will obtain PTCB within 1 year.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred and computer skills expected.
• Typing speed and accuracy beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in providing timely, efficient pharmaceutical care.
• Refill patient medication bins via robot cart fill and manual picks.
• Deliver and exchange 24-hour cart fill to nursing units at scheduled times.
• Reorder medications in short supply and restock the picking station.
• Prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques per USP regulations.
• Use PPE and closed system transfer devices for hazardous medications.
