ChristianaCare in Newark, DE is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient operations in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy. The role requires a High School Diploma, PTCB certification (or enrollment in a PharmD program), and strong computer skills for modern pharmacy workflows, including sterile compounding.

You will assist pharmacists, refill carts, manage inventory, and prepare IV medications under USP guidelines, ensuring products are correctly labeled and delivered to nursing units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• PTCB certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• Applicants with Pharmacy Technician experience encouraged and must obtain PTCB certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in providing timely, efficient, cost effective, and appropriate pharmaceutical care to the patient.
• Refill patient medication bins through robot cart fill and manual picks; update carts with new orders and discontinue medications.
• Update labeling of bins on admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Deliver and exchange 24-hour cart fill to nursing units at scheduled times.
• Manage automated dispensing cabinet inventory and ensure in-date medications are stored.
