Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Bluffton Community Hospital to assist in retrieving, processing, preparing, and distributing medications and sterile products for patient care.

The role requires a High School diploma (some college preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience. SC state registration is required, with licensure preferred and PTCB preferred, in a non-exempt setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• SC State Pharmacy Technician registration required; SC license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications and sterile products.
• Handle unit dose medications and intravenous admixtures, parenteral nutrition, floor stock, and controlled substances.
• Function under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in accordance with written procedures and guidelines.
