Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Non-Exempt Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution under pharmacist supervision. You will assist with filling unit dose meds, IV medications, Pyxis operations, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy.

This role emphasizes customer service to nursing staff and patients, inventory control, and adherence to USP 797 standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; MA Pharmacy Technician license.
• Licensed as a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone calls and triages requests to the pharmacist staff.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and collects physician orders and returns.
• Assists with Pyxis distribution and inventory management.
• Supports IV room and distribution operations under pharmacist supervision.
• Trains colleagues and ensures proper documentation and compliance.
