Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license or national certification (PTCB/NHA).
• Six months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains stock supplies in the pharmacy and packages medications under supervision.
• Prepares IV or other medications using aseptic technique for administration by nursing staff.
• Prepares chemotherapy and handles blood products safely with proper safety equipment.
• Maintains and cleans equipment; reports failures to supervisor.
• Accurately bills and credits medication charges as necessary.
• Delivers medications to patients and nursing units in a timely manner; may work at multiple sites.
