Job summary

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and current Pharmacy Technician licensure (PTCB/ICPT) with hospital experience preferred. Training of students may be included.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB Certification required and/or ICPT accepted; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill and label medications and refill Pyxis cabinets.
• Deliver medications to Patient Care Areas and prepare IV admixture solutions.
• Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain medication stock levels and proper storage to ensure safe pharmaceutical services.
• Mentor and train students.
