Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician II role at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital supports advanced and basic pharmacy technician duties in a hospital setting. You will assist pharmacists, handle ADC-related tasks, perform audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a Pharmacy Technician License (or Pharmacist Intern) and have at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork in patient care areas.

Qualifications

• PHARM-Intern Pharmacist - Intern, or PharmTech Pharmacy Technician License
• +1 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience required

Responsibilities

• Identifies critical issues, prioritize workload and communicate to appropriate personnel any issues in a timely manner
• Interacts in person and by phone with hospital personnel politely and appropriately
• Maintains required documentation logs and complies with facility policy and regulatory requirements
• Maintains medication storage and security per regulatory requirements
• Performs audits (e.g. anesthesia, overrides, billing) and supports quality control
• Assists pharmacists in clinical reviews (medication reconciliation, triaging reports)
• Compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures using aseptic techniques
• Obtains final check from the pharmacist before releasing parenteral compounds or dispensing medications
• Handles day-end processes including Discontinued, Transfers, and Discharges lists
